                    Imagine a world where the technology used to disastrous effect in ‘Jurassic Park’ could instead be used to revive recently extinct species that played important roles in our present ecosystems. This is exactly what an Extinct Species Revivalist will do. 

                    Using gene editing and cloning technology, Extinct Species Revivalists will revive lost species and reintegrate them into their natural environments, in order to restore the natural balance that was lost by the species’ extinction. 

                    Working with ecologists, zoologists and other scientists, Extinct Species Revivalists will learn how a species’ extinction negatively impacted its former environment. They’ll need to weigh up the risks and benefits of restoring an extinct species. They’ll likely have to seek approval from a local jurisdiction in order to revive a species, so as to limit the negative impact of a species revival. This work will need to be highly regulated to prevent a ‘Jurassic Park-like’ incident, but it will be vital for maintaining species diversity and healthy ecosystems. 

                    Education: Extinct Species Revivalists will need an advance science degree such as Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, or Evolutionary Biology.

                      This is a career that will mold cutting edge technology, genetic science, and pharmacology. As such Pharmaceutical Artisans will need an understanding of how drugs interact with biology, how to compound those drugs, and an understanding of genetics.

Data Storage Solutions Designers will use their creativity and innovativeness to create custom data storage solutions for their clients.

                          As commercial spaceflight becomes more affordable it’s only a matter of time before inhabiting another planet becomes an attainable goal rather than a dream from the pages of a Science Fiction novel. While we presently have the technology to create livable indoor habitats, space explorers still require spacesuits with life-support in order to go outdoors when in outer space. Terraforming Microbiologists will work to change that. 

                          These scientists will work as part of larger terraforming teams to make Mars (and possibly other planets) habitable for humans by creating a breathable atmosphere. Terraforming Microbiologists will work to overcome the challenges of Mars’s lack of magnetic field and atmosphere using microbes to create fertile soil and breathable air. 

                          It’s likely that NASA will fund most of this research, though some members of the private sector may also participate. 

                          Terraforming Microbiologists will need advanced qualifications in microbiology and a keen interest in space. They’ll need an understanding of the composition of Mars’ soil and atmosphere.

                            Cricket farms will produce large quantities of high-quality protein, micronutrients, calcium, zinc, and heme iron, while requiring not a lot of space compared to cattle farms. As such Cricket Farmers will be able to work in urban environments using vertical systems that take up very little space. They’ll use robots and intelligent systems to monitor the crickets, and maintain ideal conditions and growth rates. 

                            Cricket Farmers will need to maintain the robots and systems they use to raise the crickets. They’ll also need to design and implement cricket breeding programs depending on market needs. They’ll also be responsible for experimenting and creating a range of cricket-based products. 

                            Crickets are not only a good source of protein and other nutrients, they’re also very energy efficient as they consume plant products and produce little waste. They can be turned into high-protein flour, protein bars or crispy, deep-fried snacks. 

                            Cricket Farmers won’t necessarily need a formal education, however those interested in cricket breeding might want to pursue a higher education in entomology.

                              Just like traditional farmers, Agroecological Farmers will grow crops and/or produce biofuel, however, they’ll also work to restore and maintain an agricultural balance. Rather than clear-cutting and farming the land, Agroecological Farmers will create agricultural ecosystems by not just planting crops but also trees, shrubs and weeds. These intercropping techniques will create microclimate that will keep farms sustainable while repelling pest insects. The use of targeted irrigation will prevent erosion-causing run-off. These techniques will also prevent the loss of soil nutrients. 

                              Agroecological Farmers could be based in either rural areas or urban areas where they could run vertical farms. They’ll use many technologies such as robots to work their fields, gene editing to create hardier crops, and big data to help optimise their efficiency. They can embed sensors to measure how much fertiliser they need, air temperature, and how much watering is needed. 

                              Agroecological Farmers will need to understand how plants, soil, insects, animals, nutrients, water, and weather interact within living systems. They’ll need to understand sustainable food growth. If desired Agroecological Farmers could obtain any number of agricultural specialties these would including horticulture, soil science, or land management.
