    Security Analyst provides computer and software protection. They are much like police only Security Analyst’s bust viruses and unauthorised hackers – not drug dealers. They are experts in maintaining and building a computer’s security. A Security Analyst needs to be creative and on the ball to protect systems from clever thinking hackers and swift moving viruses. A Security Analyst tests and checks the system regularly and can tell if the systems have been accessed from an unauthorised source.

    A Security Analyst works with businesses to ensure their computer systems are not compromised and are secure. If systems are not protected then this may impact the integrity of computer systems and business operations.

    At the moment, there is no specific requirement to become a Security Analyst; however, employers will most likely require their employees to have a degree in computer science or cyber security.
